Escutcheon, the trading name of Paul Ki-Kydd, has been producing collectable quality miniature furniture for 23 years.
Paul has worked with furniture since childhood, first in his father's workshop, then after art college, in a partnership which produced pieces for such stores as Harrods of London. The miniatures grew out of the necessity to provide models for commissioned orders.
Since the initial collection of only six pieces, the range has had as many as 120 items, predominantly based in the 1700 to 1900 time period. Commissions have included working music boxes, room settings and round domed building with a rotating dance floor and musical accompaniment
Escutcheon has attended most of the leading British shows - every Miniatura and London DollsHouse Festival since their inception- and sold to shops, museums and collectors in six of the seven continents.
